On the main floor

The Foyer

This spacious hall gives access to all the main rooms and is the ideal place for children to pay.

Here you will also find the Blüthner Piano, you are kindly invited to play it.

The library

Light the fire in the fireplace, choose one of the many books in the library and listen to your preferred piece of music. The evening will be unforgettable.

The kitchen

Our mother was an excellent cook and therefore the spacious kitchen was always well equipped. You will find everything you need when you want to try to cook one of the typical south-tyrolean dishes.  

The dining room - "Stube"

In Tyrolean farmhouses the wood-panelled Stuber was the room where the family gathered for the meals, for prayer, to play cards and to discuss important issues.

Arch. Erich Pattis has interpreted this tradition in the "modern" style of the fifties.

The big table seats 16 persons.

The Terrace

In summer or winter, you can stretch on a lounger and admire the view.
And it is so large that young and old can play any sort of games.

On the first floor

The bathrooms

Of course also the three bathrooms are large and well equipped.

The Tyrolean room 

Martha Bayer has decorated the furniture of this room in the early fifties. Thereafter she has designed the Sevi collection of wooden toys until 1998.
On the wall you find two pretty paintings by Gretl Karasek showing children in typical Tyrolean costumes.

The parents' room

The whole house got a twist in order that from the master bedroom you can see directly the Saslong, landmark of the Val Gardena. To the experienced eye it reveals the development of the weather. "If the Saslong wears a hat, ...

The children's room

Here our sons Martin and Thomas have illustrated their fantasies.
Today they have chosen different professions, but we did not want to erase the expression of there early artistic talents.

Rita's room 

For 8 years the designer Rita Fortin and her husband Kees van den Meiracker have lived with us and this was her studio.
Above the sofa you find a pretty landscape by Karl Plattner, one of the most famous painters of the region.

Grandma's room

Here our grandma used to sleep when she came on visit. As children we spent unforgettable hours in this room listening to her counts of ancient times. We feel that this room still has a special energy.
